Hairdressing and barbering apprenticeships

Skilled salon or barbershop are the key to creating a highly productive, creative and motivated team. Our accredited apprenticeship qualifications upskill your people, so they can enhance your salon’s performance and help you secure future business success.

And with government funding, the cost of our apprenticeship training may be nothing at all. Apprentices have an attractive subsidised minimum wage too, and there may also be local and national grants available. Our funded apprenticeship training helps you to develop your team’s skills, so they can progress within your business.

Through our Level 2 courses, our apprentices learn the full range of skills, including shampooing, cutting, styling and colouring. On our barbering courses, apprentices will also learn shaving and facial hair techniques. Our Hairdressing Level 3 course will give learners advanced technical skills, including complex colour analysis, creative finishing and styling/dressing and advanced cutting techniques.

Training can take place within your salon, barbershop, or at our academy with monthly visits to your business, or we can provide a mix of both. Our Off the Job training requirement includes standard tasks, which includes shadowing one of your team, meetings and learning new technology, such as your booking system.
